Looking forward to joining the group!

I have started reading "Nana" by Emile Zola

Happy 5th Birthday, Book Club!

September 6 was our birthday and I'm glad to say we're still going strong! We've read 9 books together in the past year, and 61 in total.

Ladies, it's been a pleasure and I'm so happy to be reading with you!

Happy Belated Birthday, Book Club!

I completely missed our little club's birthday this year. On September 6 we passed the 4 year mark! I am still just as excited to check the posts as I was in those first few weeks.

I am continually grateful to M for suggesting that we start a group and to B and J for joining us.

We have read 52 books together so far; here's to the next 50!

Happy Birthday!

Yesterday our little book club celebrated it's 2nd birthday. In the past year we've read 16 books together, and I am very much looking forward to the next 16!

Welcome, Tracy and Pat!

I'm glad to say that we've added two new members to our little club.

After Fanny Hill, we'll pick: Tracy, Pat, Melissa, Joy, Angie

Tracy went to school with Melissa and I. If you'd like to comment and introduce yourself to Joy, that would be great! There's also a little "reading survey" that you could fill out here: http://amabookclub.blogspot.com/2009/03/survey-about-reading.html

Labels + New Blog Title

I added a new feature to our little blog by labeling our posts. This makes it easy to view all of your own picks, all the "classic" literature, all the NPR junk, etc. with just a click! When you open a post on a new book you can apply an existing label by clicking "show all" by the Labels field on the bottom right of the text window. You can also create a new label if you'd like.

Ahh, technology!

New look

I hope you like the new look of the main page; I thought we needed something fresh and light for the dawning of a new decade.

Now for a little book quiz:
Moby Dick http://www.triv.net/html/Users9/u20064.shtml
Sherlock Holmes: http://www.triv.net/html/Users7/u16803.shtml
House of 7 Gables: http://www.online-literature.com/forums/quiz.php?quizid=189

Happy Birthday!

AMA Book Club completed 1 full year on Saturday, 9/6/09. In 1 year we've read 15 novels (I'm of course counting all those Sherlock Holmes stories as just 1 book), and I'm glad to say that many of them were not books I ever would have picked on my own. Along the way I've also read several others that were recommended to me, and I'm very grateful to Melissa for suggesting that we start a little club.

Virgin Post

Welcome to the AMA (Aaron, Melissa and Angie) book club! We'll be up and running soon!
