The Time Machine by H.G. Wells

I solely chose this book because it was featured in a Big Bang Theory episode.  Television inspired reading list.

Arabian Nights, by Sir Richard Burton

For our first comments, why don't we each pick one or two stories from the book for the Club to discuss?

Last of the Mohicans by James Fenimore Cooper

A classic story about Hawkeye.

Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift

Since M is travelling, let's all travel.......

"The Picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde

Returning to an "oldie but goodie", at least, so I've heard.

Shirley by Charlotte Bronte

Well, I enjoyed Jane Eyre and Villette; let's see if this is as good.

"20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" by Jules Verne

Ready to move on ......

Joseph Heller, Catch 22

Angie's pick. Hope it lives up to my expectation!

Pudd'nhead Wilson by Mark Twain

Joy's second pick.
--- I do so love Mark Twain! ---

Nathaniel Hawthorne, "House of the Seven Gables"

Melissa's most recent pick. I had mentioned comparing Hawthorne to Melville, since they were close friends, so here is our opportunity. Let's hope it is better than Moby Dick!

Moby Dick by Herman Melville - Main discussion post
