I guess it is my pick again. I decided to move to a more contemporary author and book (since Joy asked me to stay away from anything "Shirley"esque). I read this book soon after it first came out and I recall enjoying it. Hopefully my tastes haven't changed!

AMA Book Club completed 1 full year on Saturday, 9/6/09. In 1 year we've read 15 novels (I'm of course counting all those Sherlock Holmes stories as just 1 book), and I'm glad to say that many of them were not books I ever would have picked on my own. Along the way I've also read several others that were recommended to me, and I'm very grateful to Melissa for suggesting that we start a little club.
