Flight of the Witch by Ellis Peters

By the author of the Brother Cadfael series, which we enjoyed.

I had high hopes for this book, and they weren't met. It wasn't a bad book, just slow to get into and not much of a mystery. I didn't find any of the characters very believable, either.

I did like the ending and the writing was good. It just wasn't the same caliber as some of the other Ellis Peters.

It took awhile to get pass the flowery description and into the story. Apparently the author has written other books about inspector George Felse. Sometimes reading other books about a character helps me get more engaged in the stories. It was enjoyable enough for me to stick with it to the end.
