This was definitely a thriller and can't me reading, but I didn't really care for it in the end. I had a hard time connecting with the characters and didn't find the ending plausible. I think Danny was smart enough to plan it, but I can't imagine him actually being able to hide all the preparations and then go through with it.

Even though there was a wrap up at the end, I also felt like it left a lot hanging.

I did enjoy the discussion of the dragonflies and the fact that I know many of the towns and locales discussed, since I lived in southwestern Michigan for several years. So recognizing the place names was exciting. :-)

Part of the reasons I picked this book was because of the location.

I couldn’t connect with the characters and this is one of the few books where I didn’t really like any of them, not even Danny.
In my experience I have not known an autistic person who was mean spirited the way Danny was. He reminded me a bit of the character in the book “The Ransom of Red Chief”.

There were too many characters to keep track of and not enough depth to them. It felt like I was reading the outline for a book instead of the actual book.
