I enjoyed this book a lot. The author did a great job bringing the characters to life. I could easily see this made into a movie, a dramedy. The author does have a tendency to get spicy/racy in her books but she tells a great story so I overlook it.
There was one technicality near the end of the book that I wondered about. The police used the video from the security camera but he was in the process of installing it when he left because of what he found in her bedroom. That did not sound to me like he had completed the installation and turned on the camera. What do you think?
I also really enjoyed this book. I expected that I might since I read "Me Before You" a couple months ago and really liked it. I think I liked Me Before You a little better. The struggle of the mother in this book was a little too familiar to me, I think. And the scene with the dog near the end was almost too much.
I wondered about the installation as well, but assume that he had finished, just didn't tell her he had.
What do you think of his response to the bullying? It didn't solve the solution in the long run, even though it felt good at the time. Sinking to the level of the bullies, do you think?
