I thought maybe we could post our favorite three Sherlock Holmes stories thus far. Obviously, we will continue reading and our list may change, but let's see how it stands as of right now.

3. Hound of the Baskervilles
2. Red-Headed League
1. Naval Treaty

I liked Scandals in Bohemia too, I would probably put it at #4.

I have to revise my list.

3. Study in Scarlet
2. Hound of the Baskervilles
1. Scandal in Bohemia

Red-Headed League has moved to #4 W.hile I liked "Naval Treaty", it probably only comes in 6th or 7th. I didn't particularly care for any of the characters (the man who lost the treaty or his girlfriend or her brother).

I found a list of Conan Doyle's favorite stories (he does not include any of the novels) and thought I would paste it here to compare with ours:
Conan Doyle's list:
1. "The Adventure of the Speckled Band"
2. "The Red-Headed League"
3. "The Adventure of the Dancing Men"
4. "The Adventure of the Final Problem"
5. "A Scandal in Bohemia"
6. "The Adventure of the Empty House"
7. "The Five Orange Pips"
8. "The Adventure of the Second Stain"
9. "The Adventure of the Devil's Foot"
10. "The Adventure of the Priory School"
11. "The Adventure of the Musgrave Ritual"
12. "The Adventure of the Reigate Squire"

My #1 and #2 make it on his list at #5 and #2 respectively. Angie, your #2 is also his #2, but Naval Treaty does not make his list at all!
