I read this book quickly for two reasons.. it was a small book and the dialogue flowed well so I kept reading.
I was expecting to read that Konrad was gay so learning that he had an affair with Henrick's wife and that was why he left was a surprise to me.
The characters in the story were described very well and it was easy for me to get into the emotions of each of them.
I enjoyed this book.

I did not read this book quickly, but mostly because life got in the way. :-) I thought it flowed a lot like a murder mystery, with anticipation building up to the great reveal. There were just passages of dialogue that got repetitive.

I also thought Konrad was gay! It really irked me to not get the answers to the last two questions. What was the point of Konrad going if he wasn't going to answer questions?

I also thought the characters were easy to connect with and I really enjoyed the passages on friendship. The book left me unsatisfied, though, which maybe was the point?
